Necalli Cultural Movement (NCM) is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing quality instruction in Mexican/Hispanic folkloric dance to the youth in our community. It is an outlet for individuals who seek to learn and perform Mexican\Hispanic folkloric dance while encouraging awareness and appreciation of Mexican culture, traditions, and dance. The group’s foremost goal is to keep folkloric techniques and culture alive by using them as a foundation for all of the styles we perform. NCM welcomes all levels of experience and offers dances that challenge and enhance the diverse abilities of its students.
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is to instill and develop an appreciation and pride in the Mexican\Hispanic arts through folkloric dances and music from various regions. NCM will teach stage presence, proper footwork, proper skirt movements, dance origins, and history.
In the process, we hope students will gain confidence in themselves and their capabilities that will carry over to their everyday lives.
